We are starting to notice that around the school the amount of litter is increasing. The Janitor is being left to pick up after us.
We need to take responsibility for disposing of our own litter and use the bins (including recycling). We are looking at relocating some of the bins to make sure coverage of all the playgrounds is improved but YOU can help by using the bins provided or reduce the amount of litter by taking reusable plastic tubs and water bottles for snacks.
The litter is always worse on Friday after Fairtrade tuck shop and the wrappers are disposed of on the ground so we are proposing that a bin is located next to Fairtrade steps on a Friday.
Let your Eco Rep know if you have any other suggestions for helping lead our pollution revolution!
PLEASE HELP US TO REDUCE OUR LITTER AND USE THE BINS – WE ALL NEED TO HELP LOOK AFTER THE SCHOOL AND OUR LITTLE PART OF THE PLANET!
St Joseph’s pupils, Andrea Bostock, Amy Robertson and Owen Izedonmwen, took part in the Scottish Mathematical Challenge Day at Aberdeen University today.
We are so very proud of them – they worked well as both a team and as individuals and came first in the relay maths quiz, were finalists in the maths poster competition and came third overall out of 28 schools – and only 3 points behind the winners!
