Thinking caps on for a challenging maths day!
Three pupils from St Joseph’s; Tolu, Angela and Ogooluwa, attended the annual primary Maths Challenge event at Aberdeen University. 31 primary schools sent three pupils each to spend the day solving maths puzzles and challenges.
Each school had to create a poster explains about measurement in maths, answer 27 questions with their team mates, play a head to head Challenge with other schools, complete 12 practical maths puzzles and compete in a relay by answering one maths question at a time and runnning back and forth to answer the question and submit their answer – so physical and mental exercise!
Congratulations to Albyn for second place and Danestone who came first with the most points over all the events and a huge WELL DONE! to our own budding mathematicians who did really well and had a great day.
