Primary Maths Challenge Day

Thinking caps on for a challenging maths day!

Three pupils from St Joseph’s; Tolu, Angela and Ogooluwa, attended the annual primary Maths Challenge event at Aberdeen University. 31 primary schools sent three pupils each to spend the day solving maths puzzles and challenges.IMG_3100

Each school had to create a poster explains about measurement in maths, IMG_3049answer 27 questions with their team mates, play a head to head Challenge with other schools, complete 12 practical maths puzzles and compete in a relay by answering one maths question at a time and runnning back and forth to answer the question and submit their answer – so physical and mental exercise!

Congratulations to Albyn for second place and Danestone who came first with the most points over all the events and a huge WELL DONE!  to our own budding mathematicians who did really well and had a great day.
