This year’s Christmas Fair raised an amazing £3,999.60
A HUGE well done to the fantastic team of parents who all pulled together in various ways to make the day a huge success. Monika and her team worked tirelessly, until the last table had been put away, to provide a successful day for all.
The monies raised from the fair, as well as the other PC run events ( Book Fairs, Christmas Cards, Uniform Sales) make a tangible difference to our pupils. We are so fortunate to be able to turn the time, energy… and money into enriching, meaningful opportunities for all. There are resources we receive, for example for the new musical instruments, which would not be possible to purchase without the help and support of our Parent Council.
Here are some of the more major contributions we have received from the PC in 2016 –
June – £961.59 to purchase library books to augment the offering of the school library.
September – £148.75 for the reception to welcome P1 parents to our school
September – £800 for the coach transport of P7 children to/from Lagganlia
November – £158.35 for French books now in use in Infant classes.
December – £1,198 for the Christmas Panto that every child will get to enjoy on the 21st.
We look forward to working alongside our PC chairperson, Aurelie and all the members of the Council, to continue to provide worthwhile experiences for our pupils in 2017. Our parents’ involvement is highly valued and appreciated at St Joseph’s.
